Hello! My name is Shreya Buckland-Swamy and I am a childrens book illustrator based in Cambridge, England. I am of Indian origin, and relocated in 2022 to live with my partner in the UK. Despite having grown up on different continents, we have found we have so much in common and we plan to grow very very old, together. Like, disgustingly old. He says hi, by the way!

I take inspiration from my life and childhood in India, and a lot of my drawings have a nostalgic, cutesy feel to them. I like drawing people, about everyday life and I also like to add tiny whimsical touches where I can! Some of my more recent artworks also showcase parts of my life in the UK, as I particularly love drawing the scenery from here, its calmness is the opposite of the city life I had growing up, hence the fascination.
