I wrote and illustrated 'Every Morning' to represent a memory from my childhood in India which I cherish greatly. Originally it was meant to only represent a morning routine from a child’s POV but I like to think of hair braiding to almost be a rite of passage for every little girl, it’s a mother-daughter bond passed on for generations and I thought it would be quite a sweet thing to draw about.
